Why Power Wash with High-Pressure?

Four Seasons uses the technique of high-pressure washing. High-pressure washing allows us to use optimal pressure for a superior clean, without using harsh abrasives and chemicals found in low-pressure applications, which can be hazardous to the environment. Low-pressure washing does not clean or remove the dead (gray) wood effectively and may damage your deck.

Four Seasons Does Not Use Bleach

The use of bleach is the "old-fashioned" way to clean wooden decks. Chlorine based bleach and many commercial cleaners can harm the environment and the wood components. Lignin is a natural component that holds wood fibers together. Bleach (sodium hypochlorite) breaks down the lignin component of the wood and may damage your deck. Example: leaving a white haze or film on the deck surface causing the deck surface to be less than ideal to accept sealers. Four Seasons uses environmentally safe, biodegradable deck cleaning and brightening agents.
